I graduated from Kendall School of Design in l976. This was the beginning of taking several classes over the years in printmaking, paper making, clay, paper clay and mosaics. My love for watercolor and acrylic have never waived and still work in this media today. I have always enjoyed the process of making art. In 1968 I was fortunate to get a job with the Grand Rapids Press working in the Editorial Art Department until I retired after twenty-five years. The mosaics on my page are part of a process I went through for several years and still do an occasional mosaic in my studio. I have taught mosaic classes in the past and will be teaching a class at the Franciscan Center September 11 and 12. There is something calming about making a mosaic. The cutting process and placing the tesserae is an experience I truly enjoy. I also like to work with glass fusing where the colors sing when the kiln is opened for the first time after being fired. The art world is my joy and my life, along with my two sons and two grandchildren.
