As a college student, I took my undergraduate courses in painting and studied with Rudolf Baranik at City College of New York and the Art Students League. I also attended the New York Studio School where I studied with Esteban Vincente. In 2005, I started to work in pastels with Jim Markle and Jerry Powers. I became a member of the Great Lakes Pastel Society and the Grand Valley Artists Association as well as the Lowell Arts Council. I have exhibited with each of these groups, as well as with regional shows in Michigan. I was an Artist-in Residence in Glen Arbor, MI in 2010 and have had solo shows at the Center Gallery in Glen Arbor. I continue to exhibit at the Treeline Gallery in Suttons Bay. I paint plein air landscapes most often. My philosophy about painting is simple. I look, I see, I paint. Nature is its own beauty. All I have to do is capture the feeling I see and feel and put it on canvas.
